The rapid rise of generative AI — a type of artificial intelligence that can produce various types of content — is reshaping communications work around the world. From analyzing data to optimizing SEO and writing copy, generative AI can help make communication and marketing teams more efficient and productive. But a recent LinkedIn survey revealed that many marketing professionals feel unprepared to take advantage of the opportunities — and mitigate the risks — that this emerging technology offers.

In this course, taught by faculty in the award-winning UW Communication Leadership master's program, you'll learn how to incorporate emerging generative AI tools into your workflow. You'll use conversational AI (applications that can simulate human conversation) to enhance your brand’s storytelling, develop creative campaign, write creative briefs and analyze data. Along the way, you'll receive feedback and support from your instructors, who are experienced industry leaders.
