About this Course

Even the best product ideas stay just ideas until they’re fully brought to life. Most product failures occur when the initial concept and its value proposition don’t translate into effective execution.

In this course, you’ll learn the tools and techniques needed to turn a product idea into a market-ready solution. You’ll start with a product concept backed by market research and develop a user-focused design, high-level requirements, and a feature roadmap guided by real-world experiments. You’ll also explore how to work closely with development teams to execute the roadmap and navigate the inevitable challenges of implementation.

Topics include:

  • Developing a minimal viable product from a product idea
  • Defining the metrics for measuring what works and what doesn't
  • Designing the product and its user experience
  • Developing a product backlog of user stories, complete with estimation
  • Assembling the product releases and authoring a product roadmap
  • Prioritizing, negotiating and collaborating with stakeholders
  • Working with design, development and data science teams
  • Using Agile and Lean/Kanban methodologies
