About this Program
A business analyst is the quintessential problem solver. The business analyst's job is to decompose a company’s problems into their root causes so they can generate meaningful solutions. These solutions effect change to all aspects of the business, including processes, technologies, metrics and people. To be effective, a business analyst must have strong critical thinking, analytical and communication skills, as well as the business and interpersonal savvy to facilitate change across an organization.
In this three-course certificate program, you’ll learn the day-to-day methodology of the business analyst. You’ll start with defining the problem and gathering requirements, then developing and implementing solutions based on real-world examples. You’ll discover how to craft both IT and non-IT solutions that address business objectives and reduce risk. You’ll complement your systems knowledge with facilitation techniques that can resolve conflicts and build consensus.
